Noddy's adventures

Eyre Peninsula

Well, I must say this has been the surprise of our trip so far. If I said there was a surprise in any of my previous posts then they are superseded. We knew that Western Australia was going to be spectacular, but who knew South Australia would be so beautiful???

Smoky Bay, Streaky Bay, Venus Bay and Elliston were places unknown to us but were just so relaxing. We’d heard of Coffin Bay, being the source of arguably the best oysters in the world. We did the obligatory oyster boat tour and were shown how to properly shuck them. Of course we also ate quite a few, given that every shop in Coffin Bay sells them, including the petrol station!

We visited the national parks near Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln that have spectacular open ocean scenery that you will see on the video (of course you have all been watching them, right?).

The last place we went was a place called Kimba. This place is apparently the middle of Australia – it’s apparently half way between Sydney and Perth, is that in the middle???? Apart from that it had the Big Galah and some great silo art.
